Description of images |
The principal photographers were J. Bradden - B, or W. Tully - T, but Daniel Mildred – M also took photographs of the cast. Most photographs that are unmarked below were probably by W. Tully, a professional photographer from Glastonbury. The Newspapers had their own photographers and they issued the dot 'printed' images. A few photographs were taken by other private individuals. |

The Butleigh Revel Cast The following list of Revel participants has been compiled from the names given in the newspaper/article clippings and also from the signatures found in the "Butleigh Book". The clipping often made mistakes with people's initials (where they even gave them) and sometimes their surnames (Trefick for Trippeck) - and the signatures in the "Book"mostly do not indicate which parts people played or in which scenes they took part. Under 'page' I have listed where the person's name occurs or where a group photograph is given that may include them. page numbers in bold are those individual or group photographs where the person is clearly identifiable or specifically identified. Other names come from the album donated by Mrs. Joan Higman to the Rural Life Museum, Glastonbury. . |
